Blessed Lunar New Year
I know it's abit late but it's still within the 15days of CNY thus wishing everyone a blessed lunar new year!Time flies and it seems that as every year passes by, the days pass even faster then before.
My 4th ICT just flew past a few weeks ago and I thank God for it because I managed to catch up with some of my friends and really get to care and connect with them.
As this is the festive period, we get to attend some suppliers' CNY dinners and one of them is lunch at Singapore flyer (looking forward to it)! During our company dinner, we had 3 tables in a private room at a chinese restaurant. One of the tables consists of the bosses and their close business associates.
I happen to talk to one of them (let's call him J) and he told me that few years ago, it was him who fetch my dad back after CNY dinner but now he can "ya ya" tell him that he got his son to fetch him back (so can drink without worries.) During one of the conversations with my dad (while i was still in university), J asked my dad whether I was interested in helping out or he got any intentions of asking me join the company. He told J that I sounded uninterested in "taking over" and wanted to go aerospace company to try out (that was during my attachment) and he didn't want to dictate my future. Now that I'm helping out, J can sense the joy in my dad and the ease of burden within him.
Suddenly, it dawned upon me of this revelation. God loves his children (each and everyone) that He gives us free will. He doesn't force us to love Him or force us to do His work. Unless one realises God's love for him/her, it is very difficult to love Him, let alone do His work. I can imagine my dad's joy (though he doesn't show out) when I'm working in the company (contributing both technically & sales wise). In parallel to this thought, God, our heavenly Father would be very happy when we are doing His work (includes care and connecting with His children, spreading the good news and of coz talking to Him). I know I'm blessed to have both an earthly father whom I can help and do his work and also a heavenly father to do his work too. Some of us may not have this privillege but one thing for sure, everyone of us has the privillege to do His work which is much better than anything else coz it adds up treasures eternally.
